No wonder, mergers and acquisitions are shaping the landscape of powerhouses across the globe. Power Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. has successfully acquired Ward Power Ltd., a historic manufacturer based in Sheffield, UK.
This strategic move will bolster the Pai Kane Group’s manufacturing presence in the UK, enhancing their reach and influence without disrupting Ward Power’s established operations. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Mr. Robert G Linley, the chairman of Ward Power Ltd.
As with any acquisition, this presents opportunities for Power Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. to expand exports to the UK and other markets. It’s also anticipated to generate significant job growth both in India and the UK.
Mr. Atul Pai Kane, the chairman and managing director of the Pai Kane Group, stated, “We intend to hire additional personnel in both the UK and India to support the increased business demands.
Since 1987, Ward Power has been a prominent player in the UK and European markets, specializing in bespoke gensets and niche contracts. They are renowned for their Wardpower range of power generation systems and their expertise in handling specialized projects. Mr. Robert G Linley, chairman of Sheaf Power Ltd., commented, “I’ve been considering an exit strategy, and they have expressed interest in collaborating with us for some time now. They see Wardpower as a respected name in power generation.”
Currently, Power Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and exports gensets to over 66 countries and is actively exploring further mergers and acquisitions globally.
