We live in a time where mergers and acquisitions are a common trend in the western corporate world. Goan-bred Power Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. too is taking the acquisition route to growth, with its recently concluded buy-out of Sheffield based company – Sheaf Power Ltd.

This acquisition will help the Pai Kane Group strengthen their manufacturing base in UK and in turn increase Pai Kane’s presence without affecting Sheaf Powers’ current business model. The deal was signed in the presence of Mr. Robert G Linley, chairman, Sheaf Power Ltd.

Like every acquisition, this deal would create opportunities for Power Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. to increase exports to the UK and other markets. It will also lead to substantial jobs locally as well as in the UK. Mr. Atul Pai Kane, the chairman and managing director of the Pai Kane group said; “We plan to employ additional resources in the UK and in India to meet the demands of the growth in business.”

Sheaf Power has been in the business of bespoke gensets and niche contracts in UK and Europe since 1987. The company builds the Wardpower range of generation systems and undertakes specialized projects in different locations. Mr. Robert G Linley chairman, Sheaf Power Ltd. added; “I’ve been looking for an exit strategy and they have been keen to do something with us for quite some time. They see Wardpower as a marquee in power generation.”

We currently manufacturer and export gensets to over 66 countries and look forward to setting up new mergers and acquisitions globally. If you wish to get in touch with us drop us an inquiry.
